Throughout my days as a designer I've managed a multiple shared UI library in Figma that supported multiple product flows and design files over extended project cycles. My job as a UI designer was to maintain consistent component usage, documentation, and version control while coordinating updates across teams of 2–6 designers. We ensured alignment with evolving design standards, facilitated smooth handoffs to developers, and improved overall design system scalability and efficiency.
The libraries we worked with were maintained in Figma and based off of existing global libraries such as:
Material UI
PrimeVue
Microsoft Power Apps
Quasar UI
