Chapter 4 The Grand Tetons

Our time in the Tetons was brief so I've only got a few photos for this day. It was going to be a long drive to Riverton so we only had time for a short hike, Grand View Point Trail.

Don't let that 1.1 miles fool you. This may have been one of the shorter hikes, but man was it a climb. At least the snow was finally gone from the trails and the sun was out. We actually broke a sweat on this hike!

Once we reached the top of that stretch in the left photo, the view of the Tetons behind us was amazing.

Just a little further and we reached the peak. It's crazy to imagine that people explored this area back in the day and for whatever reason (probably the cold) decided, nah we don't want to live here - then went on to settle somewhere else.

Here marks the end of my journal. After the hike returned to the car and drove down to Riverton where we would spend the night so that we could split up the drive back to CO. Would I go back? In a heartbeat. Would I do anything different next time? Maybe bring some snow gear for Rocky Mt. hiking.
