Ketchikan
In Ketchikan we just walked around town, poking our noses into shops to eat free samlon samples and check out furs. We did a short run about 3 miles out along the single road that passes through and saw a few eagles.

The fish that we bought in Ketchikan was delicious! I believe that at most shops, you can get a discount for buying in bulk. Oh! And before you get into port, if you can, look up the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. We walked past it, but didn't get to see it because they had sold out of tickets already.
We did a short run along the Tongass Hwy that runs through town. We did see a few hikes along the way which I'm sure you could more about somewhere on the interwebs. If you run a bit further than we did, about 4.5 miles out to Saxman, there is a totem pole park you can check out.
