DIY Yoga Mat Success

New product for the catalog!

Tried out this DIY Yoga mat bag tutorial by Sewaholic (Thanks!) Loved the pattern, most definitely will use it for future bags. For this bag, I used the Eco Cotton Canvas from Spoonflower in the Lantern Ilima floral print, unlined, and finished – as always – with the signature Kait the Ambi metallic gold thread.

Bags are available by request 🙂

Measures about 27 in in length and 5.5 in in diameter at the base.
Pocket fits phones, up to iPhone 6s Plus has been tested. Fits with plenty of room.
Gold Thread Finish
Also tried out these cute zippers sewn on the outside to show the pretty lace! Very excited about these.

  1. Thanks for sharing it, looks great!
How much weight can this yoga mat bag hold? If I want to put in my camera and mobile and a few other essential items, will it be able to hold all that?

    1. Aloha! Thanks for your interest 🙂

The bag was designed to carry a yoga mat, mobile phone, wallet, and a change of clothes – bringing you to somewhere close to 5lbs. While all the seams are double stitched and if could probably support a little more weight, I wouldn’t store my own camera in the bag, and wouldn’t advise storing your camera in it since the bag offers minimal padding. Unless you have it in a secondary pouch that is padded and made to cameras.

Hope this reply is helpful. Let me know if you have any more questions!
